PRODUCTION - USA - HONDA to hike NAmerican production capacity to 1.5 mln autos
TOKYO,Japan -Forbes/USA/AFX News Limited/Nihon Keizai Shimbun -06.02.2005: -- Honda Motor Co plans to reorganize its production in North America and boost its overall capacity there by 7 pct to 1.5 mln vehicles a year by March 2008... The plans reflect a shift in demand from passenger cars to light trucks in the US market, and come as other top Japanese auto companies like Toyota Motor Corp and Nissan Motor Co too are boosting output in North America, applying greater pressure to floundering US automakers in their home market...
