FLINT,Mich,USA -WJRT, by By Kevin Holmes -Dec 22, 2005: -- After debating for several months, the City Council has decided to purchase an entire fleet of garbage trucks for the city. But the supplier comes as a surprise to some... For months, the debate in Flint has been whether the city should buy the trucks from a business in the city or look elsewhere... Wednesday Night, City Council decided to go elsewhere... Twenty trucks were purchased from an Auburn Hills company at a cost of more than three million dollars... This was not the lowest bidder, though. The lowest bid was from a company right here in Flint...
