Allowing - USA - Doyle signs bill letting some trucks carry heavier loads

MADISON, Wis.,USA- Associated Press/Duluth News Tribune (Duluth,MN), by RYAN J. FOLEY -Mar. 21, 2006: -- Gov. Jim Doyle signed a bill into law Tuesday allowing trucks to carry heavier loads of commodities year round despite warnings that it will cause damage to roads and bridges... The law will allow trucks carrying raw forest products and fruits and vegetables to transport up to 98,000 pounds. Current law allows them to carry that amount during four months of the year but caps it at 90,000 pounds for the remaining eight months...
