Purchases - South Africa - Harare goes trucks and car shopping
Johannesburg,South Africa -News24/Zimbabwe's Herald -28 Mar 2006: -- Harare city council plans to splash out 1.45 trillion Zimbabwean dollars (R91.9m) to buy 329 sedans and pick-up trucks for its managers and field staff... Its website said the purchase would be made with money the city intended borrowing from open markets... About 1,1 trillion Zimbabwean dollars would be used to buy 183 one-ton trucks, at an average cost of 6 billion Zimbabwean dollars apiece... Another 42 billion Zimbabwean dollars would go towards the purchase of 90 sedans going for 3,6 billion Zimbabwean dollars each...
