* USA - Trucking industry's role in freight movement will continue to grow

USA -Transport Intelligence -20 Nov 2006: -- Companies involved in high tech logistics, including air cargo operators, freight forwarders and express operators are likely to enjoy strong increases in volumes in advance of the holiday season. Sales of semiconductors, which go in to all consumer electronics goods, are growing strongly... According to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) global chip sales rose to $21.4 billion, an increase of 9.3 percent from September 2005, and a 4.2 increase from the $20.5 billion reported in August 2006...
