USA -Light & Medium Truck -November 2007: -- ALS makers say their products increase vehicle life, reduce maintenance... Squirt grease, lubricants from central reservoir into chassis points, moving parts. Include brakes, steering assemblies, rear axles, other components at timed intervals... Some systems add oil to engine crankcase... Greasing technology is standard on many new trucks in Europe... US fleet operators more skeptical of robotic greasing runs. American fleet managers reluctant to relinquish human judgment involved in manual greasing... USPS is 1 major American buyer that orders all new vehicles w/ ALS...
