Carrier Suspends Guidance, Freezes Administrative Pay
Ann Arbor,MI,USA -Transport Topics -26 Jan 2009: -- Con-way Inc. late Monday reported a fourth-quarter loss, suspended its full-year earnings outlook and set a pay freeze for management and administrative employees... The carrier reported a fourth-quarter loss from continuing operations of $49.7 million, or $1.09 a share, compared with earnings from continuing operations of $36.9 million, or 78 cents, a year earlier... Revenue fell to $1.13 billion, from $1.2 billion a year earlier... For the full-year, Con-way reported net income from continuing operations of $58.6 million, or $1.23 per share, compared with $146.8 million, or $3.06, a year earlier.
